Job Description


Qualifications:

  1. High School diploma or equivalent
  2. Certificate of Health on file in the central office (after employment offer is made)
  3. Extensive knowledge in the use of microcomputers  with networks and internet
  4. Working knowledge of  LANS and WLANS’s
  5. Successful experience providing technical support and training
  6. Ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to non-technical users
  7. Ability to work harmoniously with others and to communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, students, and office staff.
  8. Ability to maintain confidentiality
  9. Knowledge of:
    1. Principles and practices of Microcomputers, Local Area Networks, and related equipment
    2. PC compatible and Apple platforms and operating systems
    3. Micro computer equipment, software, installation, and troubleshooting techniques
    4. Basic networking , client machine installation onto a network and local area troubleshooting

Essential Functions

  1. Provide technology services, which include deskside support and training for the district software applications.
  2. Provides district wide technical support of computer systems
  3. Assist in the installation and maintenance of district LAN / telephony cabling
  4. Maintains inventory of technology hardware and software
  5. Provide classes and one-on-one training, on district systems and applications
  6. Support instructional needs and enhance technology integration in the classroom;
  7. Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality when dealing with student and staff information

Physical Requirements / Environmental Conditions
 

  1. Moderate degree of physical stamina and a light degree of physical strength
  2. Ability to stand, walk and bend frequently and occasional lifting up to 70 lbs.
  3. Requires stooping, kneeling, crawling, bending, turning, reaching, climbing, and balancing.
