BOOSTER CLUB NEWS.....
We had a wonderful 2009-2010 school year and are looking forward to the 2010-2011 school year. We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful community supporting us and the Central Heights students, teachers, and administrators. Without your continued support, we would not be able to do the things we do for CHS.
Last year we set a goal of raising $1000.00 in scholarship monies to be given to 6 students instead of giving $600 to 2 students. I'm happy to say, we accomplished that goal! Skye Mills and Casey Droddy both received a $300 scholarship, while Thomas Conaway, Ethan VanZant, Shelby Droddy, and Ashley Wicks each received $100.00 scholarships. We wish all of our scholarship winners the best of luck as they attend college. We hope to be able to possibly give even more scholarships this school year.
We are preparing for the 2010 Homecoming Parade which moves to Rantoul October 13th. Please check your October newsletter for the parade route, including line-up time and place, and also, please check the web-site for updates.
We are also selling CHS merchandise. This information should be on the web-site by the time you receive this newsletter. We will also be at football games and volleyball matches with this information. Don't delay - please contact a Booster Club member to place your order. The order deadline is October 11th.
We will also be selling muffin, bread, and cookie mixes in October. Parents, they will make great teacher's gifts for Christmas!

We are always looking for new members. Please know, we also proudly support CHS Middle School and as such welcome parents, family members, and community members to our group. Our meetings are the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at the school lasting approximately 20 - 30 minutes. We do meet once at the Brand-N-Iron and also once at 1 Moore Bar and Grill. Both of these businesses generously support CHS so we try to give a little back to them.
Our next meeting will be September 8th at CHS at 6:00 p.m.
