High School Prepares for 1:1 iPads

by Bob Stegner

November 29, 2011

Beginning with the 2012-2013 school year, the High School is excited to announce that we will be implementing a 1:1 iPad initiative for grades 9-12.  Students today require different tools and strategies that were not available a decade ago.  The 1:1 iPad initiative will allow students and teachers to individualize and differentiate instruction in a way that is familiar to students, while still working on essential skill sets needed to meet state and national standards.

By providing new, innovative ways for students to access course information, the iPad will directly contribute to effective learning experiences. This affords students an opportunity to instantly access visual and text information while incorporating instructional technology in a fun, exploratory way. Additionally, access to iPads enables educators to deliver a customized, real-time curriculum and personalized instruction tailored to meet their students’ needs.

As we move forward with the initiative and the details are finalized we will be placing additional information on the website, beginning with a frequently asked questions (FAQ) section.
If you have additional questions please feel free to contact the school
