Central Heights Baseball Supper February 12th

The Central Heights Baseball team will be having its annual baseball dinner
on February 12th during the Queen of Courts games versus Prairie View. We
will be serving Frito Chili Pie, dessert, and a drink for $4. We hope to
see everyone at the fundraiser.

We are asking parents who can donate their time to help serve, to please
contact me. If your son is playing basketball, please do not miss them
playing and come and go as you please. We are also asking each family to
bring some type of dessert for the supper -cake, brownies, cookies,
muffins, etc.

*I have created a website for the baseball team that is located on the
usd288.org <http://usd288.org> website. Log onto the middle school staff
page, go to my name and click on it. You will find a baseball home page
located there with a variety of things such as the schedule for this year,
important dates, Viking Guidelines, etc.*

Central Heights

Central Heights Middle School is a great place to be.  The middle school boys basketball team was nominated by Carbondale-Santa Fe Trail Junior High to receive the Spirit of the Sport Award.  In order to be nominated for this, the team or person has to show values beyond winning and losing.  They must show good character and leadership.  The basketball team is one of nine nominees that will be considered for state level recognition by KSHSAA in February.  If they are chosen they will be recognized at a KSHSAA state championship event and then will be submitted for national recognition by the National Federation of State High School Associations.  Boys keep up the great work and continue to be the good leaders that you are.  People are watching you all the time and what a great way to represent Central Heights.
