The Hunter safety course has been busy learning how to cross a fence on their own. Then making some pheasant/duck/goose jerky! This goes along with the Hunters Code of Ethics number 10 “making full use of the game you bag!”

Congratulations to our final fall athletes of the week for middle school. Volleyball: Lillea Clayton improved so much through the year and played her heart out over the weekend. She played hard the the whole time and was always where she needed to be. We are so excited to see her improvements in the future.

Congratulations to our final fall athletes of the week for middle school. Football: This week's player of the week is going to the entire 8th grade group of football players. Last year, most of the MS football team was composed of this group as 7th graders. As hard as they fought, they went 0-7. They decided then that is not what they want for the following year. They got in the weight room, came to summer camp, studied the playbook, and came out as leaders this year. It was not a perfect season, but these 8th graders became leaders and winners as the season went on. Finishing 5-2 and losing both games with a score or less, each game was theirs to win. This 8th grade group set the bar high for next year's team and did all of the extra work to have this type of season. Here are some of the stats for the year. Offense Yards Run 1693 Pass 379 Total O 2072 Total Points 300 Defense Sacks 12 Int 4 Fumble Rec 7 Tackles 205 Points Allowed 138

Congratulations to our final fall athletes of the week for middle school: Cross Country: I’m nominating the entire middle school boys team for winning the Flint Hills League Championship for the FIFTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR!! They absolutely destroyed the competition by scoring 18 points (15 points is a perfect score) and placed four boys in the top 8. Order that plaque, Mr. Brown! I am also nominating the entire middle school girls team for their Flint Hills League runner-up finish with three girls placing in the top 5!
