Today, 77 years ago, the remaining 7,000 prisoners in Auschwitz were liberated.
Today, just a few hours ago, our freshmen visited the Auschwitz exhibit in Union Station.
Today, as we meandered through the twists and heart-wrenching turns of the exhibit, the voices of the survivors' testimonies sounding in our headphones, we remembered the over 6 million who were killed. We gave thanks for those who survived and were brave enough to share their tales.
Today we gave honor, and vowed never to forget.
What a special way to spend National Holocaust Remembrance Day. And these kids made our school so proud. We received many compliments about their behavior throughout the exhibit. 💙
