
Mental Math Day - Central Heights Elementary Takes Third Place! 4th Grade: (front row l to r) Reed, Royce, Haiden 5th Grade: (back row l to r) Emily, Reece, Aracely These students participated in the 31st Annual Vera Mae Schultz Mental Math Day at West Franklin on October 6. Six schools attended the event.
Royce and Aracely won their preliminary rounds and then competed in the finals. All six students accumulated enough points to take third in the Elementary Division.

Due to the large rainfall totals the JV football game at Osage City scheduled for tonight has been cancelled. There will not be a makeup date.

A fun night was had at homecoming!

BioEngineering is exploring the career of Drone Pilots. Salary range is $50K-$70K and is expected to raise 13% in the next five years. Private businesses, real estate agencies, Google, Amazon, branches of the Military, and many more entities use drones daily.

The ALICE Training in the middle school, provided by the Franklin County Sheriff's Dept and Ottawa PD, was awesome! The students learned life-saving skills, worked together, and had a blast.

Kamryn Stinebaugh, age 17, presented to all Biology students on the importance of studying Entomology (insects) and labeling / pinning procedures. Kamryn has been collecting insects for 11 years and was voted Miss 4-H this past summer.
