Dear 5th Grade Band Parents,
Our winter band concert is on the calendar for Wednesday, December 6th at 7:00pm. The concert will begin with the 5th graders performing a song they started on their instruments and an arrangement of “Jingle Bells.” We look forward to having you and your families here to support their exciting progress on their first year! I’m truly proud of how far these students have progressed!
The 5th grade band portion should not last longer than 15 minutes and then they are welcome to leave. I would like to encourage everyone to stay and listen to the other bands but I also know this is a busy time of year. The 5th graders will be followed by our small, 6th grade band, the junior high band and then our high school band.

Dear Second - Fifth Grade Parents,
We, the Central Heights Boys Basketball team, would like to give your son or daughter the opportunity to be selected as a basketball manager for a home varsity basketball game during the 2017-18 season. I am asking for parent permission in advance of the selection process to avoid announcing a student who is not able to participate.
The selection criteria would be based on positive behavior, academics, character, and most of all, PRIDE. Our CHES classroom teachers will choose one boy and one girl from each class, grades 2nd-5th for the week. I will select our winners the Friday before the week of our home varsity games. I will select one boy and one girl for each game that following week. Parents will be contacted by phone and given details of the student’s duties for the evening. The student will be under my supervision during the boy’s varsity game.
If your son or daughter are selected, they will get a team warm-up shirt and be recognized during halftime of the boy’s varsity basketball game. I believe your student will love the experience of being a part of our team, and hopefully become a basketball player themselves!
