On October 7, three Middle School students competed in a Mental Math competition at West Franklin. David Krone and Nash Cardell received 2nd in their divisions and overall we received 3rd place.

First, I would like to give recognition to Lily Meyer and Taryn Compton for finishing 1st and 2nd in the 8th grade 2 Mile for the 3rd week in a row. They are both on a really good roll right now heading into League this coming Thursday as well as Emma Cubit who finished 3rd in the 7th grade 2 Mile as a 6th grader. They show a lot of heart and their hard work keeps paying off. On the high school boys side, the both the JV and varsity groups are doing a nice job improving each week as well. I am pleased that we were only a few points behind one of the best teams in 4A and the #1 ranked team in 2A. The competition won't get any easier next week at the Flint Hills League meet, but it will be a good test to see what we still need to work on.
