👨👩👦 Parent-Teacher Conferences are coming up! The middle school is taking the traditional approach this fall. Please click on the link https://www.usd288.org/page/parent-teacher-conferences-middle to sign up with your child's teacher(s)!
If, for some reason, the link to the teacher you are requesting is unavailable, reach out to that teacher to schedule a time. Most of the teachers' links should be working, though! If a time is unavailable on the calendar, that means someone has already snagged that time. :)

Congratulations to our student athletes of the week for middle school!

🍪💛🩵Clearly, the ONLY way to eat monster cookies is with monster bites!! Thank you so much, Jumets! Your kindness and generosity is always right on time!

The Hunter safety class went outside today to learn how to cross a fence on their own, and with a partner. We talked about not tearing up the fence and crossing properly to respect the landowners property, and putting safety FIRST! Then we hunted pheasant and talked about the proper way to stay safe and shooting zones if a bird got up in between us! We are so lucky to have the property and land to do this! It was so much fun!

Central Heights just had its very own "Day at the Farm" thanks to seniors, Emma Cubit and Carter Kimball! Our elementary kiddos got up close with farm animals, learned the ropes of agriculture from FFA volunteers, and some AMAZING community members and had a blast exploring tractors and more. Kudos to our seniors for a fantastic senior project and for reminding us of the magic of hands-on learning and for making Central Heights' "Day at the Farm" a roaring success!

Lighted Jellyfish and the haunted shark cage have arrived in the library for this spooky season!

We are so incredibly fortunate to have such a supportive community that is willing to give to our school in so many ways! We wanted to make sure that everyone was aware of this opportunity to help instill great, life-long habits for our kiddos! Please reach out to your building administrator or counselor if this is something in which you are interested!

The Board of Education will be having a special board meeting before the regular board meeting on Wednesday, October 11 at 6:15 p.m.

🎉👑Congratulations to Nash Cardell and Bailey Roehl, your Central Heights 2023 Homecoming King and Queen!
A heartfelt congratulations to all of our fantastic Homecoming Court members! Your attitude and spirit have been a great source of pride for Central Heights throughout this week of celebrations! 💙💛

The Hunter Safety class was making duck, goose, and pheasant jerky today to go along with one of the Hunters Code of Ethics rules, "I pledge to make full use of the game I bag, I will prevent its waste!" They will get a chance to enjoy it on Monday, if they want. Thanks to the KDWP and our school board for allowing this class in our schools!

We had our 8th graders come up with advice for 6th graders coming into middle school in the future. They were all really good, but this one really stood out: "Never be afraid to be who you are, Don't let the small things change you!" Wow!!! We have some great leaders in middle school! We are #CHstrong
