Even though temperatures have been soaring this week, some of our students found a great way to cool off. Mrs. Hamilton's Anatomy & Physiology students spent some quality time in the school kitchen cooler to test out how feedback mechanisms keep the body in homeostasis in different environments.

School picture day is coming!
Today the elementary kicked off trash bag sales with a friendly donut eating contest! Congratulations to Mrs. Tyner who was the winner! Now how many rolls do you need?! #CHstrong
Due to the temperatures this week, and the little gym not having a/c the middle school volleyball team will have practices Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday in the mornings. Mrs. Coffman's class read the Rainbow Fish today! It taught us how to share and be kind. We made our own Rainbow Fish and used goldfish to do addition problems! #CHstrong
Due to the upcoming weather/temperature that is forecasted for next week. Middle School football is going to practice from 6:30 am to 7:30 am Monday-Thursday. They will get out in time so they can shower and grab breakfast before reporting to class.
We will make a decision for Friday next week.

Introducing Winning Wednesday! We will celebrate our outstanding Vikings of the Month at the high school every first Wednesday of the month. Our STUCO students will spread the good news by visiting every class to honor the selected students and staff with a special item.
Other students can participate by purchasing special items and to kick things off, today STUCO sold donuts.

MS/HS Football and Volleyball will meet in the theater for Heat Illness & Concussion videos next Monday at 1:00 PM.
Practice will be from 2:45-4:45 after the videos. Parent meeting will be on Tuesday of next week in the big gym.

Make sure you have your physical and concussion forms turned in the HS office for HS players and MS office for MS players. You cannot practice without a physical on file.
One more piece of information for MIDDLE school parents:
The parents meeting for volleyball will be at 5:45 pm and football will be at 6:00 pm on 8/15. We will meet in the big gym to start with. Please attend, it shows your children it is important to SHOW UP!
