💙💛 Watching someone who works tirelessly to create the most engaging lessons, create the most inclusive classroom, and provide the absolute most amount of magic be recognized and honored for her achievements is unreal. But that's just what happened last night.
Laurie Tyner, the bringer of all things beautiful and kind, not only stood up to be recognized as our very own USD 288 Kansas Teacher of the Year nominee last night, but she was a SEMIFINALIST!! This is a tremendous honor and achievement!!!!
We are SO proud of you, Laurie, and all that you stand for. You make this world a better place, and you make every day a GREAT day to be a Viking. 💙💛 #CHstrong

🎓The countdown to graduation is ON!🎉
We want to spotlight our SENIORS and all of their amazing accomplishments during their time at CHS!
Join us in celebrating the class of 2023, starting with Bailey Brockus!

Yesterday a group of kids displayed the work they have been putting in. There were personal records & state records broken by the Vikings on Saturday and to top it off a State Championship for the Central Heights Men's Powerlifting Team. Great Job! #CHstrong #CHpowerlifting

The CH baseball team had the privilege and honor of helping out at Aaron Dunbar's auction last night put on by the Richmond Ruritans!
Aaron Dunbar is a great role model for our young men! How to be active in your community, a hard worker, family man, and just great person!
This is what we talk to our players about all the time, life after baseball and COMMUNITY, and how to be a good person and contribute to that!
We would like to thank buyers of the CH baseball donated items! Especially the Phillip Pearson family who purchased his own baseball jersey from the 1998 baseball team and then presented Aaron with his baseball jersey he wore in high school from the same year!
It was a great night to be a Viking!
We are #CHstrong

Congratulations to these young men for this weeks baseball awards!
Nick Schultze was the offensive player of the week with 7 out of 8 at bats qualifying for a Quality At Bat! He also had the go ahead 2 rbi hit in Game #2!
Carter Kimball was our defensive player of the game with several nice defensive plays in the outfield, and robbed a base hit from the other team on a nice play up the middle at second base!
Aydan Dunbar was our student athlete of the week! He has a 4.0 GPA! Not only does he have good grades, he is a great teammate on and off the field! He is also doing dual sports while keeping up his grades. He has done a great job of balancing the two sports!
Congratulations to these young men!

Pre-K Sneak Peek for 2023-2024 school year is coming quick. Check out the flyer below for details.

There are so many exciting activities going on at Central Heights throughout the spring, and as a result, after school transportation can get a bit tricky! For that reason, the *MIDDLE SCHOOL TRACK TEAM* will practice in the mornings on the following dates: March 23rd, 31st, and April 21st so that Coach Oestreicher can drive a route after school. More dates could possibly be added, and we will be sure to keep you all updated if those arise.
What to do for morning practice: Drop your student off at the middle school doors. We will begin inside, and then move outdoors.
Please let Coach Oestreicher know if you have any questions! GO VIKINGS! #CHstrong

Reminder: Yo Yo's are still for sale in the Elementary Library through the end of the day Friday! Contact Mrs. Christy Smith at csmith@usd288.org or 785-869-3355 Ext. 1355 with any questions. Thank You!
