8th Grade ELA finished reading The Outsiders today, so they kind of recreated a scene from the book. We had our own Greaser vs Soc Rumble in the form of a chocolate cake eating contest! Here's what happened: 1) We got a few boxes of Ding Dongs(Mrs. Smith made chocolate cakes for everyone else in class to enjoy) 2) Since this was our dress-up day, the kids selected one greaser and one Soc to represent them in the rumble. 3) The contestants had to unwrap and eat all of their ding dongs. 4) The winner gets their choice of SODAPOP! 😂 It was such a fun activity. Messy, but fun. And the dirty socs won BOTH TIMES. 😫 You'll get 'em next time, Greasers.

Help!!!! Our hunter safety students have been stranded on a far away island! They are only able to use the materials on their island (between the parking stalls) to try and start a fire! Hopefully they get one started to survive the cold temperatures, cook some food, and boil some water!
