The Fourth and Fifth Graders placed second as a team in the Mental Math Contest at West Franklin on October 12. Individually, Ben placed first in the Fourth Grade Division and Matt placed second.

The Pottawotomie Creek Fire Department, Lane, presented a Fire Safety Program at CHES, for the PreKindergarten through 5th Grade students.

Mrs. Sarah Rand and her husband Alex will be on a flight headed to Washington D.C. tomorrow morning. Sarah has been announced as an awardee of the Presidential Award for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching!

Mental Math Contest
In the Fourth Grade competition Ben and Mathew placed first in their preliminary rounds and Josiah took third place. Reed captured third place in his Fifth Grade preliminary round. All the boys advanced to the finals!
