What a night for our Lady Vikings!
The gym was packed, the energy was high, and our team delivered an unforgettable Senior Night. We celebrated three incredible seniors: Lyla Hamblin, Ashley Harkins, and Brynleigh Morrow. They were surrounded by proud families and a sea of pink for Pink Out night.
And talk about a milestone moment… congratulations to Lyla Hamblin for reaching 500 digs and kills! What an amazing accomplishment and a true reflection of hard work and heart.
Thank you, seniors, for leading with passion and pride. You’ve set the standard for what it means to be a Viking!

Reality hit differently yesterday — in the best way!
Our eighth-grade and sophomore students took part in Reality U, a hands-on financial literacy event that turns learning into real-world decision-making. Each student was given a mock career, salary, and family scenario, then had to make choices about housing, transportation, childcare, groceries, insurance, and even a few fun extras. It didn’t take long for everyone to realize how fast a paycheck can disappear!
Reality U helps teens see how their effort in school today can shape their financial future. It gives them a chance to practice smart money management and understand the value of planning ahead.

Exciting News, Central Heights!
Our very own FACS students, under the direction of Mrs. Reed, are gearing up for a big project that blends learning, leadership, and community service!
Next week, these students will roll up their sleeves to prepare 250 meals of Lentil & Beef Ragu through the Kids Feeding Kids program in partnership with Pete’s Garden. This amazing opportunity allows students to gain hands-on experience in the kitchen while learning about nutrition and the power of giving back to others.
Once the meals are prepared, they’ll be distributed for free during Parent-Teacher Conferences on:

Tuesday will be a big night at home for our high school volleyball team with matches beginning at 5 PM. Stick around after the games as we celebrate our seniors: a well-deserved moment for this great group!
Thursday will keep the energy going with our cross country runners competing in Osage at 4 PM and our middle school football team taking the home field against Olpe at 6:30 PM.
Friday is full of fun for our elementary students with Lunch on the Lawn, the Pre-K field trip to Peckham’s, and the Fire Prevention Assembly. We’ll finish the evening under the lights as our varsity football team takes on Council Grove at home!
And on Saturday, our choir students will showcase their voices at the KC Renaissance Festival — what a way to end the week!
