Great start to the season for the Lady Vikings! 💙💛🏐 CHS swept St. Paul in straight sets before dropping a tough one to Crest. The girls finish the night 1-1 and are just warming up!

The varsity squad is serving up their first match of the season tonight at Crest. Two games, back-to-back action, and plenty of chances to yell loud for blue and gold.

We’ve got a full week coming up at Central Heights! After the Labor Day break on Monday, students and staff dive into activities with volleyball, football, cross country, and a Drama Club meeting. On Friday, our 5th graders head to Starbase while varsity football travels to Jayhawk Linn for a 7:00 PM kickoff.

Tomorrow night 8/29 our High School football team will be at Anderson County for a jamboree. The start time will be 7:00 with Anderson County vs Pleasanton. We will be the next two scrimmages after that. Admission is $5 for K-12 students and $7 for adults. GO VIKINGS!!!

We would like to thank The Wet Lilies and Traci Hower for helping us get our science pond set up with some plants and a water feature! Also all the advice and knowledge that she has!!! It is great to support local companies and have them so willing to help! She has even volunteered to come out and show our horticulture class in the spring how to divide the old plants once they are ready! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Yesterday some amazing members of the Class of 2028 were recognized as part of the PreACT Rising Stars program for their performance on the PreACT test taken last fall. This class produced:

1 - Perfect Score
2 - "Distinguished Scholars" (Top 5% Nationally)
3 - "Rising Scholars" (Next 10% Nationally)
10 - "Early Scholars" (Next 35% Nationally)

Monday is the start of Fall sports! We are so excited to get back on the course, courts, and fields! It is going to be an exciting year! Please remember the student must have a physical, concussion form, concussion video, heat and illness video, and current impact concussion testing to participate. We have contacted every student that we know who is interested about these things. GO VIKINGS!!!

School starts next week, and we cannot wait to see you back in the hallways! Here is what’s coming up as we kick off an amazing year!
