Parents may request their student stay for tutoring by contacting Mrs. Cutburth (scutburth@usd288.org) by noon of that day.
*Parents can also arrange several days at a time.
*Parents are responsible for picking up their students at 4:00 P.M.
*This time after school can also be assigned by the teacher & principal for completion of work and/or disciplinary consequences.

Look out! A tiger has arrived in the elementary library and it has eaten Mrs. Smith! Be sure and visit her at the book fair and see if she survives! The Book Fair starts on Monday! Get your e-wallet set up and ready to go!
Mrs. Roush is such a blessing to CHES! The kids love her!!

The Hunter safety course has been busy learning how to cross a fence on their own.
Then making some pheasant/duck/goose jerky! This goes along with the Hunters Code of Ethics number 10 “making full use of the game you bag!”

Today is National Transportation Appreciation Day.
Central Heights would like to thank our amazing transportation staff that go above and beyond to transport our students safely everyday. They are #CHstrong
Thank You!

On October 13, 2022 we celebrated with our students that demonstrated positive behaviors during the first quarter of school.. We had a hayrack ride, caramel apples, yard games, and a "dress like a scarecrow contest"!

Due to middle school choir being at 7:00 in Ottawa, the parent meeting on Thursday 10/20 will be moved to 5:45 pm in the big gym for middle school basketball.

Congratulations to our final fall athletes of the week for middle school.
Volleyball:
Lillea Clayton improved so much through the year and played her heart out over the weekend. She played hard the the whole time and was always where she needed to be. We are so excited to see her improvements in the future.

Congratulations to our final fall athletes of the week for middle school.
Football: This week's player of the week is going to the entire 8th grade group of football players. Last year, most of the MS football team was composed of this group as 7th graders. As hard as they fought, they went 0-7. They decided then that is not what they want for the following year. They got in the weight room, came to summer camp, studied the playbook, and came out as leaders this year. It was not a perfect season, but these 8th graders became leaders and winners as the season went on. Finishing 5-2 and losing both games with a score or less, each game was theirs to win.
This 8th grade group set the bar high for next year's team and did all of the extra work to have this type of season. Here are some of the stats for the year.
Offense
Yards
Run 1693
Pass 379
Total O 2072
Total Points 300
Defense
Sacks 12
Int 4
Fumble Rec 7
Tackles 205
Points Allowed 138
