Our Hunter Safety class just finished the chapter on survival. They were only allowed to bring a tarp. They then had to build a shelter out of what they found in nature! We will see how long they last!

Introducing Bailey Roehl, a standout member of our senior class at Central Heights High School! Bailey has been involved in various activities, including dance, wrestling, STUCO, FBLA, NHS, Yearbook, and Swing Group.
With graduation on the horizon, Bailey plans to attend Fort Hays State University, where she'll be pursuing her passion for radiologic technology. Alongside her academic pursuits, Bailey has already achieved professional certifications as a CNA and CMA.
Reflecting on her time here, Bailey holds dear the memories of her first self-choreographed dance performance and the exhilarating victory in her first wrestling match.

Exciting News! Over the weekend, our Central Heights students showcased their incredible talent at the KSHSAA 3A State Solo & Small Ensemble Festival at Gypsum Southeast Saline! They did a phenomenal job during their last 2024 contest this season with their exceptional performances!
We're excited to share that of the eight events qualifying for State this year, an impressive 7 received the highest marks possible—Superior 1 Ratings! Plus, Gabriel McMechan achieved a perfect score of 80!
A big applause goes to these outstanding students and their dedicated directors, Stephanie Cannady for Band and Katherine Selenke for Choir. Their hard work has indeed paid off!

When the HS Counselor is a "Survivor" fan...
The final Counselor's Class Challenge of the year is "Survivor" themed! Students must randomly select a "community challenge" from the board and complete it before Thursday to earn a point for their class. The grade level with the highest participation percentage wins. Time to leave our comfort zones and make the Viking community an even better place!
Today HS students toured the NCCC Ottawa campus to learn more about the array of healthcare programs available locally, including Nursing, Sonography, Occupational Therapy Assistant, and Surgical Technology.

As he steps into a new chapter after graduation, Gavin plans to work on his family farm.

Introducing Maisy Moore, an exceptional member of Central Heights High School's graduating class. Maisy has been an active participant in a range of activities and organizations, including Drama, Swing Group, Volleyball, Cheer, Track, NHS, Student Lighthouse, Biology Club, Theatre, FBLA, FCCLA, STUCO, Pep Club, Yearbook, and Broadcasting.
Maisy's commitment to excellence extends beyond her extracurricular activities, she also earned a CNA certification while in high school. Her future plans include attending Wichita State University, where she plans to major in Early Elementary Education.
She has received numerous accolades, including top ratings at regionals and state competitions for both large groups, small ensembles, and solos. Additionally, she has been recognized with the Director's Award and Most Outstanding Vocalist Award. Her contributions as a teammate on the volleyball court have earned her the Best Teammate Award for both her junior and senior years.
Reflecting on her time at Central Heights, Maisy holds fond memories of competing at the state level in Salina alongside her friends Nash and Matt.
