
Class of 2020: Ryder Roll is the son of Stacy and Dan Roll. During his time at Central Heights High School, Ryder participated in Track and Field, Scholars Bowl, FBLA, Spanish Club, and Yearbook. After graduation, Ryder plans to attend the University of Kansas to major in pharmacy. Ryder plans to pursue a career in retail pharmacy or hospital pharmacy. Ryder has been recognized as a Kansas Honors Scholar and received the Governor’s Scholar Award. He has also earned the title of Valedictorian for completion of high school with a perfect 4.0 G.P.A. When asked what his most meaningful memory has been during his time at Central Heights, Ryder responded that it was decorating for prom his junior year. He loved the way his class acted like a family and spent the whole day working towards the same goal. Ryder’s advice to underclassmen is to take chances. You'll never know when you'll regret not taking an opportunity. Congratulations Ryder! We cannot wait to see what you will accomplish!


Class of 2020: Hailee Riemer is the daughter of Tom and Katie Riemer. During her time at Central Heights High School, Hailee participated in Volleyball, Basketball, Cheer, FFA, FBLA, Key Club, Pep Club, Swing Group, Honor Flight, FOR Club, and Spanish Club. After graduation, Hailee plans to attend Neosho County Community college to begin working towards an Education degree. Hailee plans to one day get a Master’s degree in Education and be an English teacher. Hailee has received a Service Scholarship and a Cheerleading Scholarship from Neosho County totaling $1,650. Hailee’s most meaningful experience at Central Heights will be how nice and caring the faculty has been. She loved going to a small school where you knew everyone and your friends became family. If Hailee could give any advice to the underclassmen it would be to have fun while you can! You never know if your year will be cut short! Congratulations Hailee! We are so proud of who you have become!

Class of 2020: Harlee Poage is the daughter of Tami Poage. During her time at Central Heights High School, Harlee participated in Spanish Club and Swing Group. After graduation, Harlee plans to attend Flint Hills Technical College to start her education as a dental assistant and then work her way up to become a dental hygienist. Harlee’s favorite memories at Central Heights include spending time with her best friend. If Harlee could give any advice to the underclassmen it would be to DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND TURN IT IN! Congratulations Harlee! We cannot wait to see what you will accomplish!


Class of 2020: Sophie Morris is the daughter of Tamara (Troy) Pucket and Blaze (Ronda) Morris. During her time at Central Heights High School, Sophie participated in FCCLA, Cheerleading, Key Club, Forensics, Drama, Pep Club, Spanish Club, Track, and Volleyball. After graduation, Sophie plans to attend college to further her education. Sophie says that the most meaningful thing about attending Central Heights was having the entire community's support for every club and organization. The advice Sophie would give to the underclassmen would be to do your work, don’t procrastinate, and have fun! You only go through high school once. Congratulations Sophie! We are so proud of you!


Library's book hunt was a blast according to many elementary students. Books were hidden all over houses, then found, and read! Poor Captain Underpants Books reportedly was found in many children's Underwear drawer! Great job!

Class of 2020: Mason McCurry is the son of Shani and Lance McCurry. During his time at Central Heights High School, Mason participated in Cross Country, Track, FFA, and Band. After graduation, Mason plans to attend the Missouri Welding Institute to pursue a career in welding. Mason’s most meaningful experience at Central Heights would have to be all the success he experienced at state Cross Country. The advice Mason would give to the underclassmen would be that they are in high school now, so try not to act like a child. Congratulations Mason! We are so proud of you!


The Myer kids surprised the bus driver Theresa Thoele and lunch lady Brenda Fredericks with flowers today. So thoughtful, thanks kids!

Class of 2020: Shelbie Miller is the daughter of Bobbie and Travis Miller. During her time at Central Heights High School, Shelbie participated in Cheer, Softball, Swing Group, Volleyball, and Honor Flight. After graduation, Shelbie plans to attend college to pursue a career in Radiology with a specialization in Ultrasound. Shelbie’s most meaningful experience at Central Heights was participating in Honor Flight. She said helping the veterans get through seeing the monuments has been her favorite memory of high school. Shelbie’s advice to the underclassmen would be to study like it’s going out of style and make sure you know how to read a clock so you can use your time wisely. Congratulations Shelbie! We are so proud of the person you have become!


Class of 2020: Victoria Hall-Stephens is the daughter of Jason and Kristin Stephens. During her time at Central Heights High School, Victoria was active in Art Club, Drama, and Swing Group. Victoria is a very talented artist and upon completion of high school, she plans to attend Emporia State University to major in graphic design. When asked what her most memorable experience at Central Heights was, Victoria replied that it was preparing for and performing in this year’s school play. She says there were so many things that tried to prevent the play from happening, but the cast pulled together and put on an amazing show. When asked what advice she would give to the underclassmen Victoria said to keep trying! Not even Covid-19 is stopping us! Congratulations Victoria! We cannot wait to see what you will accomplish!


The Learning Continues
Autumn paraded by the Richmond Health Care Center on Wednesday. She made signs and leaned out the car window shouting “Viking First Graders love you!”
Several times during the school year Mrs. Horstick and Mrs. Coffman's first graders go to RHCC. They visit, sing, and give cards to the residents.
It is so inspiring that our young students come to value our elderly citizens!
