An attitude of gratitude is sweeping through the high school circle, as grade levels engage in the first "Counselor's Class Challenge" of the year. Yesterday nearly 20% of the high school participated - but students have an opportunity each day to renew their practice. Why gratitude? The benefits abound! Grateful Vikings are healthy Vikings!

It was "Mission Possible" today in the Class of 2028! Counseling lessons continued in the HS by evaluating our self-identified work values and focusing on creating a personal mission statement rather than fixating on a job title. By the end of the lesson, every sophomore created their own mission as a lens to evaluate their decision making through - in work and in life!

How and what you communicate matters! Yesterday the freshman class began their counselor led lessons for the year with an activity and discussion centered around communication. Students were tasked with communicating an image to a peer. Difference in approach, perception, and interpretation led to a variety of outcomes - which prompted some great discussions. Which hour do you think best replicated the center image?
